Ben Affleck to Direct Jon Hamm in "The Town"
Back in Boston.
Despite nay-sayer's predictions, Ben Affleck has morphed into a more than competent director. Now he's stepping both in front and behind the camera for his new film, The Town, and he's bringing Mad Men actor Jon Hamm along for the ride.
Based on a novel by famed crime writer Chuck Hogan, The Town is a story of a savvy bank robber (Affleck) who falls in love with a teller (Rebecca Hall) at one the jobs he pulls. Unfortunately for him, an FBI agent (Hamm) is also smitten.
Affleck will shoot the movie in his beloved Boston, the same locale for his 2007 crime drama Gone Baby Gone. John Hamm is nominated for two Emmys this year, one for his work on Mad Men, and another for a guest appearance on 30 Rock.
