Bethenny Frankel, Greek chorus of the crazy that is Real Housewives of New York, is leaving the show. What does that mean? It means that Kelly Bensimon's insanity will be unbridled.

As a regular Real Housewives watcher, I was disappointed when Bethenny decided to concentrate on her own ventures. I wasn't the only one!

"Bethenny is the biggest star the franchise has ever produced," an insider told Rob Shuter.

"She not only connected with the most fans, but she also allowed the audience to laugh at how ridiculous the other ladies are. Without Bethenny making fun of the cast, the show just won't be as much fun."

Bethenny's said to be appearing on six episodes of RHONY due to contractual obligations, but that's it.

"Bethenny is done with that show," a friend told PopEater. "She is focused on her own show, writing her books and being the best mom and wife she can be. Every time she thinks about going back into that toxic environment it makes her feel physically sick."

Can we get a chorus of "noooooo"? Bethenny Frankel is the star, the neurotic foil to the characters on that show. Will Sonja Morgan, Bankrupt Rich Lady, be left to mediate the wars Kelly Bensimon will have on and off-screen? I think she will--and that she's risking getting committed by taking on that role.
