It was probably the last thing that would have crossed your mind. Bette Midler and 50 Cent collaborating. But word is that they're going to be doing a duet together.

Sure, it's totally out of left field, but we actually think it could work. And think about all the Bette Midler fans who would never listen to 50 Cent. And all the 50 Cent fans who would never listen to Bette Midler. This duet could bring completely different fan bases together as one.

50 Cent says of the duet, "Me and Bette collaborating would be really hot. But I'd need to make something new for her. For the right song, we'd definitely get together." We can only imagine what Fiddy will have Bette singing!

Bette speaks up too: "He is one of the newest members of our tribe. He has really made my life worth living. 50 has been with me through thick and thin. I really can't rap, but I'd like to sing in the background on Get Rich or Die Tryin'."

Wait, did Bette just say 50 Cent has made her life worth living? We think it must have something to do with the fact that 50 Cent is helping her charity group the New York Restoration Project build a public garden in his childhood neighborhood. But to say he's made her life worth living is a pretty strong statement.

50 also said, "Look how beautiful things are and how nice it feels when I'm around her." Aww that's sweet, but now we're wondering if there's some kind of love connection here. Can't wait to see what the duet is all about!
