Betty White Accepts SNL Hosting Invite
It's happening!
Betty White will host SNL! This after a massive fan movement to put her on the show erupted when White appeared in a Super Bowl commercial on January 31. At an Oscars party Sunday night, Betty White confirmed her SNL hosting gig! (Don't you love democracy?!)
Eighty-eight-year-old Betty White stayed pretty tight-lipped on the SNL scoop, but when a reporter asked her Sunday night at the 18th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Award Viewing Party in L.A., White simply replied to the SNL inquiry with a "yes." YES!
Our friends at PopEater report that 480,000 people participated in a Facebook petition in February to get Betty White to host an episode of Saturday Night Live. Apparently her appearance in a Super Bowl Snickers commercial got the public excited enough to cheery her back on the screen.
Betty White said Sunday night that she finds the movement "wonderful." In January the comedy actress received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the SAG Awards, so it looks like 2010 is a happy year for Betty White. Insiders report that we may see her as part of a special SNL "Women in Comedy" episode. Stay with LimeLife for details.
There's another season actress who's admitting to hating her hand tattoo -- go here to find out who we mean. Plus, what was with the Betty White death hoax last week? Here we have it explained. Not funny.
