Blythe Danner Wanted Gwyneth To Be A Doctor
Gwyneth Paltrow's mum Blythe Danner has revealed she wanted her daughter to become a doctor. Blythe, 66, admitted her daughter Gwyneth, 36, is a clever girl - and she originally wanted her to be involved in a medical breakthrough rather than follow her into acting.
She said: "She's so smart, we wanted her to find a cure for AIDS or something." Blythe added: "We were pretty firm about her finishing her education, but when we saw how talented she was, we finally said okay." Gwyneth is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 32, and they have two children - Apple, five, and Moses, three. Blythe also said that her two little grandchildren are already showing signs of creativity. She said: "Apple and Moses love to fantasise. I'm always down on my hands and knees playing a character. They really love that."
