Brad Pitt Wants to Make an Inglourious Basterds Prequel

We're down for seeing Brad Pitt on the big-screen any time

Inglourious Basterds did so well in the theaters that the movie's stars are already talking about doing another movie. They don't want to do a sequel for the movie, but are actually eager to make the prequel. And Brad Pitt would love to be a part of it.

There have actually been a few scenes filmed that would be perfect for the Inglourious Basterds prequel, so it sounds like the movie could already be on its way.

According to Brad Pitt's co-star Eli Roth, "Everybody would drop whatever they're doing to go back to work with Quentin... All the time, Brad says, 'Prequel, prequel!' All the 'basterds' would jump on it in a second."

We think a prequel would be perfect. Eli continues,"We have three scenes that we shot in Boston that take place before the war, and Quentin says if he does the prequel, he's going to use them... They're not going to be DVD extras... There's a great scene with me and Cloris Leachman. I go and get her to sign the bat. It's me and the little old Jewish ladies of the neighborhood."

And not only are some scenes already shot, but it sounds like the script is already written. Roth says, "[Quentin] has most of it written, so now it's just a matter of figuring the whole thing out... Quentin's standards are so high that he won't do it unless he feels like he can do it better than the first one."

We definitely think we'll be seeing the Inglourious Basterds prequel. After all, we have a feeling the original movie is going to be raking in a whole bunch of awards this coming year and there will probably be plenty of interest in seeing another! And we'll take any way we can see Brad Pitt.
