Bret Michaels Won't Get Special Treatment, Says 'Celeb Apprentice' Star

Maria Kanellis says Trump won't favor Bret Michaels.

Bret Michaels isn't exactly the kind of person who's looking for pity -- and it's a good thing, says his Celebrity Apprentice co-star Maria Kanellis. Kanellis expects Donald Trump to put Michaels through the wringer at the Celebrity Apprentice finale.

Maria Kanellis, World Wrestling Entertainment star, appeared for a Celebrity Apprentice press call Tuesday afternoon. Kanellis revealed what she thinks Bret Michaels is up for going up against Holly Robinson Peete in the finale of Celebrity Apprentice next Sunday. "It's unfortunate what happened to Bret," USA Today quotes Kanellis saying. "At the same time, Trump sees pretty much what is in the task and that's it. He doesn't see celebrity, he sees what gets done in the task. That's going to be the only thing Trump looks at."

So who is Maria Kanellis cheering for? Again, Bret Michaels isn't getting any favoritism: "I'm torn right now," Kanellis said. "I think Bret's a great guy and I understand his charity, plus he's got such an inspirational story being a rocker and having diabetes -- that just doesn't compute. But with Holly, I'm on her team and I've got a cousin with autism so I can see her trials. I can't say. I have no idea."
