Candi Holyfield Accuses Husband Evander of Abuse

Candi Holyfield married legendary pro boxer Evander Holyfield on her 24th birthday in 2003. Today she's alleging that for almost the entire length of their marriage, and beginning during her first pregnancy, Evander has been brutally beating her. Keep reading.

Our friends at PopCrunch say that Candi Holyfield has alleged that Evander, 47, began beating her six months into their marriage, when she was pregnant with their first child. The Holyfields now have two kids, ages 6 and 4. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Thursday morning: "...Candi Holyfield accuses her husband of hitting her in the face, the back of her head, and on her back during the middle of the night, according to the petition for temporary protective order..."

Candi Holyfield has petitioned for a restraining order against her husband, alleging the following: "In 2008 he choked me in front of our daughter and house keeper. In 2009 he has hit me in front of the children. He has grabbed me in front of the children. A couple of weeks ago he threw a bottle of water at me."
