Carrie Underwood Can Wear Anything On Stage

She's got the confidence to be fearless

We've always thought being on stage must be kind of empowering. Plus, you're expected to look more like a performer on stage than you are in your every day life. And Carrie Underwood uses these facts to her full advantage when it comes to her on-stage fashion!

Carrie doesn't hold back when it comes to her on-stage fashions as much as she does in every day life. She tells Lucky magazine, "I feel like I can wear anything when I'm onstage... I love playing around with makeup-it's trial and error, mostly error."

We doubt Carrie makes very many errors (not to mention, we're sure she has a pretty fabulous fashion and makeup team), but we love that she feels so free to experiment. Carrie admits she gets a bit of her fearless fashion outlet from idol Dolly Parton. She says, "I would never attempt to pull off Dolly's wardrobe, but her confidence is enviable. She always makes it work!." We agree that pulling off fashion successfully is more about confidence than anything.

Are you wondering if Carrie Underwood's country style music affects her fashion at all? Carrie does incorporate a bit of country into her fashion, but thinks she would no matter what kind of musician she was. She says, "I like pairing cowboy boots with unexpected things, like cute dresses. You can be 'country' and still be stylish-I would wear them regardless of what kind of music I sang."

In her downtime, Carrie can often be found hanging out in Victoria's Secret sweatpants. She says, "they're affordable, and they make nine-hour bus rides bearable." We definitely agree with her on that note as we pretty much live in our Victoria's Secret pants too. But we're not free to wear whatever we want on stage; we wish we had that freedom!
