Carrie Underwood Scared to Forget National Anthem Lyrics

Oh say can you... what's my line?

Everyone knows the words, but when you're asked to sing them on the biggest stage in the world, who knows what could go wrong. Carrie Underwood has been assigned the task of singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl... and she's got pre-game jitters.

During a recent press conference in Ft. Lauderdale before the big game, Underwood said she's nervous about flubbing our nation's patriotic hymn.

"My biggest fear is the words," she said. "Of course you know the words. But if you're going to mess up, that'd be the time, right?"

Also at the press conference was Queen Latifah, who will be singing "America the Beautiful" before the Super Bowl game between the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints. Both Underwood and Latifah were kind enough to give the press their own rendition of Larry Platt's "Pants on the Ground."

And what does this song mean to America?

"As a songwriter I know we all aspire to write something that is catchy and has a message," said Underwood. "And I think the youth of America can learn a lot from Pants on the Ground. And they can pull their pants up ... because it causes all kinds of back problems. I've seen the studies."
