Catherine Zeta-Jones Outraged at Michael Douglas' Doctors
Zeta-Jones says diagnosis took too long.
Catherine Zeta-Jones is speaking out about her husband Michael Douglas' recent diagnosis with stage four throat cancer. Douglas revealed this week that the cancer has spread to his neck and other parts of his head, and Catherine Zeta-Jones blames Douglas' doctors for the advancement of the illness.

We reported Wednesday that Catherine Zeta-Jones had spoken to "People" and insisted that husband Michael Douglas, 65, is acting incredibly strongly as his eight weeks of chemotherapy and radiation treatment have just kicked off. But here's what she had to add about the way the doctors behaved early on:
"It makes me furious they didn't detect it earlier. He sought every option and nothing was found." When doctors finally did find Douglas' cancer, Zeta-Jones says, "It wasn't a huge shock ... I knew something was up. He knew something was up."

She also revealed that telling their children, ages seven and 10, about Dad's cancer was an incredibly painful part of the process that Zeta-Jones and Douglas had to weather together. Douglas says his doctors have told him he has an 80 percent chance or better of recovery.
