Catherine Zeta-Jones teams up with Angela Lansbury in Broadway revival
Oscar winner Catherine Zeta-Jones is heading to Broadway. The actress is joining forces with acting legend and fellow British star Angela Lansbury to star in a revival of Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music.
However, she won't be doing any singing and dancing like she did in her award-winning role in Chicago, in which she played Velma Kelly. According to US reports, Lansbury did not want to shoulder a multi-million-dollar Broadway revival by herself and only agreed to sign up for the production if the producers lined up another big star to play her daughter in the show. The Welsh actress agreed to take on the role of Desiree in the musical, which features famous hits including Send In The Clowns and Every Day A Little Death. A Little Night Music is due to open at the Walter Kerr in mid-December.
