Charlie Sheen to Make a Plea
Is he ready?
This week, Charlie Sheen managed to stay out of the tabs, mostly. We think he's headed to Two and a Half Men and Tuesday, and before that, he has to go to court. TMZ discussed the details of his potential plea bargain, and the pitfalls of his moves.
According to current whispers, Charlie Sheen is ready for a plea bargain, but prosecutors aren't particularly eager to cut him a deal. With his show and his reputation in jeopardy (again), you can imagine that Charlie Sheen is pretty desperate to save things as well as he can.
"Sources tell us Sheen would plead no contest to a misdemeanor, provided he would not do any jail time. He'd agree to probation and also agree to take anger management classes," TMZ reports.
Brooke is said to be desperate not to testify against Charlie. Meanwhile, the prosecutors are uninterested in the plea bargain because they've collected enough actual evidence to prove that Charlie did knock his wife around on Christmas.
If Charlie makes out okay during the arraignment in Aspen, he'll be back on set on Tuesday, with a sober coach. I hope that everything is dealt with justly, and I would love to see a sentence that didn't seem to have that "celebrity leniency" going on. Maybe now's the time?
