Unique Prom Dress Made of Starburst Wrappers
Who doesn't love a little creativity when it comes to prom dresses?
Rather than gettiing a cookie cutter dress off the rack or ordering a prom dress online, some teenagers think outside the box and design their own.
Case in point, take this Michigan teen, who created a prom dress made out of Starburst wrappers.

Yep, high school student Diane McNease took the brightly colored candy wrappers and fashioned herself a prom dress that's the envy of candyholics everywhere.
McNease explains her inspiration for the dress: "I was waiting for my event at a swim meet and an exchange student from Ecuador was making them [Starburst wrappers] into bracelets."
Her inspired prom dress required 18,000 candy wrappers to make the bodice of the dress -- plus, it took a year-and-a-half to collect the materials and five months to create the dress.
She tells Yahoo Shine, "It was kind of a dare. Someone said I couldn't do it. That's the last thing you should say to me."
McNease did get some help with the garment, explaining, "My friend Bria Johnson made the fabric part of the dress for me. I couldn't have done it without her."
Her dad also helped hand sew the wrappers every night "for a few hours," McNease shared.
Nice dad!
Did McNease eat all of the candy to get the wrappers? The first month, she says she did, but explained, "then I got sick of it."
Friends were involved in eating and donating their wrappers after that.
What do you think of her hand crafted prom dress?

This isn't the first time that Starburst wrappers have been sewn into a prom dress -- last year, a Wisconsin teenager's mom made her daughter's entire dress, purse, shoes and prom date's vest from the candy wrappers.
