Coming to America?

We hope this doesn't mean Paula Abdul is no longer being considered as a judge on Simon Cowell's upcoming American X Factor. But if Paula's still in the running, then we're all for Cheryl Cole coming on as well. But will America like her?

We've heard lots of rumors about who Simon Cowell will be adding to the judging panel on the American version of X Factor. And now we could be starting to get some answers. But it might not be who you were thinking... To be honest, we were kind of hoping for a judging panel with Simon, Paula, and Randy.

Now there are rumors that Simon Cowell has offered Cheryl Cole $2.2 million to judge the show. If you know Cheryl is from her time in girl group Girls Aloud or for her judging stint on the British version of X Factor. So, clearly she'd know what she was doing. Cheryl has also been in the news for going through a pretty rough divorce with cheating Ashley Cole.

The Daily Mirror reports that Simon Cowell said, "I took more of a gamble taking Piers Morgan to the States. Cheryl will be loved immediately... We've got to nail her." Well, we do trust Simon's judgement, so maybe we really would love her. A source says, "Getting the right combination for the panel is imperative and Cheryl ticks all the boxes... She is sassy, sexy, confident and knows her stuff musically. Her profile may not be large Stateside yet, but Simon thinks that will work to his advantage as there's an element of mystery about Cheryl which is lacking from so many US stars."

What do you think of Cheryl Cole coming on board for X Factor? Was there someone you'd rather see at the judging table?
