Chris Brown Supports Tiger Woods
He says "my hat is off to him."
Chris Brown and Tiger Woods are two of a kind, although Brown is the guy who's at the bottom of my list. Still inexplicably doing interviews (while shoving his foot in his mouth), Brown recently said that he didn't understand why we were so busy hating on Tiger Woods.
It doesn't make sense. Chris Brown has been making feeble attempts over the past year to get into our good graces-- so he publicly allows himself to be connected with a guy who's experiencing a ton of fresh public mistrust? Technically, Chris Brown actually compared himself to Woods (we can wonder if that's better or worse later).
"Whatever his personal life is and I think this goes for me and him - his personal life is his personal life,"Brown said about Tiger Woods, who recently held a press conference in which he apologized for his infidelities.
"Like they might be a fan, or might support what they're doing but like if he plays golf, like that's his sport, that's his hobby, that's his love, that's what people love him for. They don't love him for the other stuff that they talking about." Brown said.
Chris Brown also made connections between himself and Woods.
"I think, even with me, like I do music, I sing songs, like I'm an entertainer, I'm a performer, but people make mistakes," he said on Mojo in the Morning. "So my hat is off to him - I support him, I hope he gets back on the field and does his thing, cause he is the best at it."
It almost seems as if Chris Brown thinks that Tiger Woods fans should look the other way because he has enormous talent. I think that any role model should be well-rounded, and that included not doing morally reprehensible things to their loved ones. Are you shocked at Chris's commentary?
