Chris Brown Will Appear on Good Morning America
No to Adam Lambert, yes to Chris Brown?
It sounds a bit crazy to us. Good Morning America canceled Adam Lambert from the show's line-up due to the controversy from his performance, but are allowing Chris Brown to appear. So, what kind of message are they trying to send?
Wow, we think ABC is really digging themselves a hole here. They don't want Adam Lambert's sexual dancing on their show, but they do want a guy who was all over the news for assaulting his famous girlfriend. Doesn't sound very smart to us!
According to an ABC source, "The network is giving a mixed message... that it doesn't trust someone who shocked with an unpredictable show and a gay kiss, but then it is happy to go ahead with Chris Brown, who was convicted of felony assault."
ABC says they didn't opt out of Adam Lambert because of the gay kiss at the American Music Awards and that, "He was not canceled over a gay kiss... He showed himself to be unpredictable on live TV." How do they know his performance was unpredictable and not simply the way it was planned? We understand his act wasn't exactly fit for morning television, but why couldn't they just tell him to tame it a bit for the show?
Instead, Chris Brown will be on the show performing songs from his new album. Of course, we all know how predictable Chris Brown and his temper are! Good call, ABC!
