Chris Brown and Rihanna 'secretly' at same hotel
Rihanna and ex-boyfriend Chris Brown have been secretly staying at the same New York hotel, according to reports. Just days after R'n'B star Brown made a public apology for beating up his then-girlfriend in February, the singer - banned from seeing Rihanna under a restraining order issued in Los Angeles - was seen checking into the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Manhattan.
He arrived on Friday - while Umbrella singer Rihanna was already staying at the luxury hotel. A source said: "They spent the next two days coming and going in separate chauffeured vehicles from the underground garage of the 52-story Columbus Circle building. The two appear to have taken great measures to avoid public exposure, including the use of decoy vehicles to throw off reporters and photographers. The secretive performers hadn't been seen together." Neither Run It singer Brown, 20, or Barbados-born Rihanna, 21, were due to attend any public events or appearances in the city. It has been reported that she is looking to buy an apartment in Manhattan, however. Brown pleaded guilty in June to felony assault in exchange for a plea deal that will see him do 1,400 hours of community service and five years' probation after admitting leaving her battered and bruised in the attack on February 8 in Los Angeles. A judge ordered him to stay 50 yards away from Rihanna - or 10 yards if they are at the same music industry event - despite her saying she did not need such any protection from him. However, if Brown is found to have violated the order - even with Rihanna's consent - he risks blowing his plea bargain and being charged.
