Christina Aguilera Aims to Take Down Lady Gaga

In a new item from The Enquirer, the tabloid reports that Christina Aguilera won't shake the idea that Lady Gaga has appropriated her style and lured away her fan base, which must be why her last album, Bionic, tanked. (As did Burlesque -- just sayin'.)

"Christina loves being on top, and in her mind, it's Gaga's fault that she's no longer there," an insider told the weekly. "She feels that Gaga has stolen her young fan base and has also outdone Christina with her outrageous outfits and stage shows. Christina plans to show Gaga up by creating two new albums that will put her back on top of the charts."

Maybe Aguilera has a point. Remember the time when she sailed down the red carpet in a giant egg? Or that time when she wore a meat dress to an awards show? And of course there was that time when she wore a coat made of Kermit the Frog dolls!

Wait, no, Aguilera never did that, only Lady Gaga did. Well, shoot, I'm stumped.

This isn't the first time Aguilera has tried drumming up a feud with Mama Monster. While promoting Bionic she pretended not to know who Gaga was and, even worse, played coy about the performer's gender.

"Oh, the newcomer?," Aguilera responded when questioned about Gaga. "This person was just brought to my attention not too long ago. I'm not quite sure who this person is to be honest. I don't know if it is a man or a woman."

Watch out, lady, those Little Monsters have claws and aren't afraid to attack! Or, doth Aguilera protest too much?

Burlesque did NOT "tank". With its over seas sales and DVD sales it has made. it is the 19th highest selling movie of the year. As of February 6, 2011, it has grossed $39.4 million in North America, and (as of May. 15 2011) $50.15 million in foreign countries to a total of $89.6 million worldwide. Get your facts RIGHT! chrsitina aguilera has a huge history in music before gaga. gaga is a new comer still need to do alote. she were in so you think you can dance but the ratings was not that huge. no one stolen any fan from any one i think chrsitna fan are different than gaga fans

Okay you don't have any facts. She said Lady Gaga "was brought to her attention" back in 2008 when Lady Gaga's singles were Just Dance and Poker Face and no one actually knew her too well. She said the gender thing at the same time. She did say "newcomer" in 2010 but it was take out of context by the magazine that interviewed her. She didn't many anything bad. She also wrote that letter on her page saying that she had nothing against Lady Gaga. People just like pitting people against Xtina. Just leave her alone. She is doing a great job doing a comeback.

I wish these fucking tabloids would get they're fucking facts straight! im actually so sick and tired of the media creating these false rumours on a whim for mere publicity. And if we really want to get picky, Christina has been doing outrageous cosutmes years before Gaga. and most of Gaga's "ideas" are plagiarised from other artists like Madonna, David Bowie etc. and she even wore assless chaps a couple of years back... hmmm ring a bell?? Christina wore assless chaps in 2002! but seriously they both respect each other as artists and don't have any beef going on there its been clarified by red one as well.

This is false rumors, something old updated by the brainless now they've added a new part to it saying shes coming out with 2 new albums :-O. Wow who writes these's an imaginative 10year old? Gaga has ripped off Christina a hell of alot of times and yes christina was the first to do the crazy outfits out of the both of them do some research! Its simple look at the EMA's she hosted in 2003 she wore cardboard clothing, massive hair etc not to mention her chaps which gaga stole not long ago.. Christina will be back on top next year she had a mess of an album Bionic but thats down to massive lack of promo. Oh and Burlesque never flopped! its made todate $150,000,000 worldwide including DVD/Blu ray sales and Burlesque Soundtrack is still selling, its sold twice the amount of Bionic with no promotion since last year!

Christina Aguilera is one of the greatest vocalists and performers of all time and she's pop music icon. She as an artist combines bubblegum pop (in the first years of her career), suberb, strong singing voice and stage presence, sex and constant risk taking in music, fashion and image. Christina was the first mainstream artist to combine all that and now, she still is. Her music taste is eclectic as is her musical style; she combines pop with r&b, blues, soul, rock, hiphop and electronica genres. She's also still strong advocate for young people, women's rights and gay rights, as she has been since the days of Stripped. Christina deserves nothing but respect. Copycat Lady Gaga makes ridicculous claims to be about tolerance and helping to accept diversity, and yet still used Christina's name to market her own album, literally. That's embarassing and shows what opportunist she is. And she copies everything from Christina, fashion, the causes (poorly) and I've heard that her singing style too.
