Looking Good When You're Feeling Bad

I totally forgot that Claudia Schiffer is pregnant until I saw her in some paparazzi snaps this week. She looked put-together and gorgeous, and it was only later that I realized why the paps were so busily snapping. How does she do it? We're going to guess.

Claudia Schiffer's pregnancy is obviously going swimmingly, but the gorgeous former model still looks unusually amazing for a mommy-to-be. Her skin is clear (it could be "the glow," but that's probably only 50%), her hair is shiny, and she looks perky to boot.

The Hair: A flattering haircut helps, and while I would've styled Claudia's bangs straight instead of center-parted, she still looks great! To get natural shine of your own for less, simply add a teaspoon or so of lemon juice to warm water, rinse your hair with it, and then douse in cold water afterwards. You may also want to experiment with for-kiddies detangler spray, which is a great way to revive curls when mixed with a little gel or homemade salt spray.

The Skin: Claudia's obviously got the genes to help her, but we're sure she has tricks, too. Try looking for a new tinted moisturizer that truly matches your skin tone, and then get into all-in-one stains that can add natural color to both your lips and cheeks. I have been into mauve lippie and stains lately, thanks to winter-darkened hair. Claudia's nude look is great to try if you like a very sparing or clean effect, with plenty of finish to it.

The Overall Effect: I pored over this pic way too much. Not only does Claudia look amazing, but her posture is impeccable. Seriously, look! That alone will  make you look perkier in the cruel hours of the a.m., and don't underestimate the power of a great pair of sunglasses. Skip mascara on the bottom lashes in the morning to avoid looking run down.

Do you have any secret beauty-boosting tips?
