Coach to Open Men's-Only Store
Boys only
We all know ladies love Coach. But do men love it, too? Apparently they do. Coach obviously has enough business from men to open a men's-only store in New York City. Or maybe this will actually get the company more business from the men. The girls are going to be jealous!
An entire store just filled with Men's Coach items. You know, it will actually likely get many more men in the store than if the store is filled with women's items as well. After all, what man wants to be surrounded by pink and teal bags in search of a manly-looking wallet (and once he finds said wallet, he still has to make sure it really is meant for males).
You might not even realize how many men's products are available from Coach unless you happen to peruse their website. From bags to shoes to wallets to watches to sunglasses, Coach offers plenty of masculine-looking items that are meant specifically for men.
The new store will be located at 370 Bleeker Street in the West Village and will open in late spring. According to a Coach spokesperson, "We are proud to announce the opening of our first men's-only store and plan to use this opportunity to showcase innovative design and enhance our men's business... With the exclusivity of this single locale, bolstered by the intimate nature of the space and service offered, we have the potential to appeal to a more style conscious and fashion-oriented man."
Will your man be more likely to shop at Coach if there's a men's-only store? I actually think this is a brilliant move on Coach's part. Men like nice things too; they just don't generally want them from a company that's primarily geared toward women. With this new store, men will feel like Coach is just for them!
