Colored Eyeliner Like Rihanna
Yea or Nay?
Rihanna's colored eyeliner look was a daring one, and I just can't figure out whether or not it'll flatter every skin tone. Will it make me look like a zombies or someone if I (with a red-tinged complexion) choose pink? I think I'm going to keep mine up top to give me more room for experimentation.
Rihanna's makeup look had a shimmery bronze shadow up top, and then a shock of bright pink along the lower lash line. In order to make this work for me, considering I change my hair color with a lot less frequency, and my fashions aren't nearly as daring as hers, I'm flipping things around.
I'm going to go with a tawny, slightly metallic shadow along the browbone, and then a bright pink shadow at the top lashline. Below? A slight smudge of complementary gold-bronze shimmery shadow, and black mascara.
The hardest part about getting Rihanna's look, I thought, was finding the right pink-y product. Here are a few of the pink eyeshadows I sourced that worked best:
*ULTA Minerals DUO: This Duo in Pink/Chocolate is a great choice if you want to ease into this. The pink is a delectable shade that's less shocking and more on the sweet side, and it will work nicely on warm skin tones.
.
*MAC Passionate: This is an awesome red that works for girls who simply don't "do" pink. It's equally as vibrant and bold.
*Bloody Mary Neon Pink: You guys are going to kill me because this is from Hot Topic, but it's one of the most *shocking*, so it deserves a place on the list. It also looks extremely similar to Rihanna's shade of choice.
Would you try this look?
