He won't go!

Thought Conan O'Brien was going to give in easily? You were wrong! He doesn't want his show moved to the 12:05 a.m. spot and he refuses to do it. Conan is standing his ground and he's released a statement detailing all the reasons why.

In a statement addressed to "People of Earth," Conan O'Brien explains the situation and how he feels about moving The Tonight Show to 12:15 a.m., after Jay Leno's show. He says his bosses are demanding an immediate decision from him and that, "For 60 years the Tonight Show has aired immediately following the late local news. I sincerely believe that delaying the Tonight Show into the next day to accommodate another comedy program will seriously damage what I consider to be the greatest franchise in the history of broadcasting."

Conan basically says he refuses to make the switch. He says, "My staff and I have worked unbelievably hard and we are very proud of our contribution to the legacy of The Tonight Show. But I cannot participate in what I honestly believe is its destruction." Conan also says he does not currently have an offer from any other networks. We're all holding out for Fox to add him to their lineup!

In true Conan fashion, he ended his statement with a little bit of humor, saying, "Have a great day and, for the record, I am truly sorry about my hair; it's always been that way."

Last night in his opening monologue during The Tonight Show, Conan said, "My name is Conan O'Brien and I may soon be available for children's parties."

What do you think Conan should do? Is he making the right move by standing his ground or should he give in?
