Courteney Cox, David Arquette Confirm Scream 4
Commence the stabbing puns.
If you've been hankering for a good slasher flick, the kind where you throw popcorn at the screen and yell at the young babysitter not to look in the closet, you're in luck. Scream 4 is in the works.
In an interview, David Arquette confirmed reports that he and his wife, Courteney Cox, will be starring in the upcoming sequel.
"I fell in love with my wife on Scream," Arquette said. "It's just going to be really fun."
There's no word yet on a plot, but one familiar face will definitely be missing: Sidney Prescott herself, Neve Campbell. The actress has declined a part in the slasher sequel, so Arquette and writer Kevin Williamson will have to find another heroine to fend off knife-attacks.
In the meantime, David Arquette is spending his time sitting atop the Madison Square Garden marquee (no joke) in an effort to bring about awareness of world hunger. If you're in the area, stop by and give him a scream.
