Cyber Monday deals 2009.

Everyone knows some of the best shopping deals of the year can be found on Black Friday, when retailers pull out all the stops in order to get you into their stores. But for those looking to avoid the long lines and elbow-rubbing, Cyber Monday may have even better discounts.

According to the National Retail Foundation, 9 out of 10 retailers are planning to offer specific online promotions this year during Cyber Monday, a growing trend that shows shoppers want to order gifts without ever leaving the home.

The most standard deal you'll find for Cyber Monday promotions is "free shipping," though many retailers will offer quite a bit more:

Use the code KMART5OFF50 to get $5 off an order of $50 or more, plus get free shipping at Kmart. Use the code SEARS5OFF50 to get the same deal from Sears.

There's also a huge rumor -- I repeat: RUMOR -- that claims WalMart will be offering certain televisions for 75% off! Keep your eyes peeled for that one.

For a big list of deals available on Cyber Monday, including free gift certificates from Barnes & Noble and others, check out CyberMonday.com.

Of course, while you might avoid the manic rush of deal-seekers on Black Friday, Cyber Monday poses its own dangers. Online shoppers should be wary of scams and rip-offs, and only stick to the actual sites of trusted retailers.
