Dakota Fanning and Freddie Highmore have a dinner date

Two of Hollywood's hottest young stars have been out on a date. Twilight star Dakota Fanning and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory actor Freddie Highmore reportedly hit it off over dinner.

And it's all thanks for Dakota's mum Joy who played matchmaker for her 15 year-old daughter and the 17 year-old Brit actor. A source revealed: "Joy met Freddie first and thought he was the perfect date for Dakota. "He's a nice kid, not someone who parties." The young couple enjoyed a dinner date at Los Angeles's Il Cielo on July 25. The source added: "He was such a gentleman, and they have a lot in common. They're sweet together, but of course it's nothing serious." Fanning, who has appeared in such movies as Charlotte's Web, Uptown Girls and War of the Worlds, will next be seen in the Twilight sequel New Moon as evil vampire Jane. She is also currently filming The Runaways alongside her New Moon co-star Kristen Stewart. Highmore shot to fame alongside Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet in Find Neverland.
