Dane Cook's Sister-In-Law Charged Over Theft
The wife of Dane Cook's half-brother Darryl McCauley has been charged in relation to the theft of millions of dollars from the comedian. Erika McCauley, 37, was arraigned by the Massachusetts attorney-general on Thursday and charged with helping her husband steal the money.
Darryl McCauley pleaded not guilty in March to larceny and forgery in the case. But authorities say police recently found more than $700,000 hidden in the McCauleys' homes in Wilmington, Massachusetts, and York Beach, Maine. In December, police allegedly found nearly $900,000. Prosecutors allege Darryl McCauley stole the money while he worked for Cook's company, Great Dane Enterprises. His attorney has said he denies taking money without Cook's consent.
