David Bowie to Release Mysterious New Book
"Bowie: Object" the object of publishing intrigue.
Next week sees the annual Frankfurt Book Fair, a wheeling-and-dealing free-for-all where literary agents from around the world peddle the lucrative foreign rights of their authors' books. It's reported David Bowie's book is about to be all the buzz in Frankfurt, as Bowie's announced an intriguing project on his website. Here's why he's not happy.
David Bowie, 63, is working with an undisclosed publisher on his upcoming memoir-ish book called "Bowie: Object" which will give a look inside the life and career of Bowie and give insight into the massive effect the music legend has had on pop culture.

It's reported word got out about "Bowie: Object" before Bowie announced it himself, and he addressed the leak on his website saying he was disappointed that somehow word about the top-secret project had gotten out before its time. However, Bowie sounds to be celebrating the "Bowie: Object" announcement, as he stated:
"We still don't want to give too much away just yet, suffice to say that David Bowie has been working on a book entitled 'Bowie: Object' ... 'Bowie: Object' is a collection of pieces from the Bowie archive, wherein, for the first time, fans and all those interested in popular culture will have the opportunity to understand more about the Bowie creative process and his impact on modern popular music ... 'Bowie: Object' features 100 fascinating items that give an insight into the life of one of the most unique music and fashion icons in history. The book's pictorial content is annotated with insightful, witty and personal text written by Bowie himself."

From what we're hearing, it's not clear when the book will be out, but the prestigious Wylie Agency is representing the project. Some scoop suggests "Bowie: Object" will actually be a book series, and it's set to come out with book jackets of all different colors!
