Remember when the Hoff was cool?

Can't help hassling the Hoff

It seems like the only time we hear about David Hasselhoff anymore is when he's acting up. I mean, he totally doesn't do anything notable these days, except get drunk. Remember his last drunken hamburger eating bender a while back? Apparently, he's back at it again, minus the hamburger.

According to sources, Hasselhoff was found unconscious and foaming at the mouth by his 16-year-old daughter on Saturday. After calling her mother, they had to carry Hasselhoff to the car and rush him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was treated for alcohol poisoning. Allegedly, his blood alcohol level was four times the legal limit. Four times!

Of course, Hoff's publicist is totally trying to downplay the entire situation by denying it ever happened and saying Hoff's ex-wife, Pamela Bach, planted the story. According to his publicist, the Hoff "is fine and well and happy and is celebrating his father Joe Hasselhoff's 80th birthday tonight at dinner...along with his girlfriend, Kimberly." And his attorney said, ""He's a recovering alcoholic, but he's really been doing great."

TMZ also chimed in, saying the story was exaggerated and that though Hasselhoff was taken to the hospital, it was because he was already feeling sick and had a little bit to drink. And that was actually able to walk himself to the car to be driven to the hospital.

If Hoff's ex-wife really exaggerated the story to this extent, maybe she needs some help. Especially considering she's dragging her daughter into the mess again. But one thing is for sure: David Hasselhoff should probably stop drinking. Or at least be written about again for doing something cool like BayWatch once in a while.
