Does Drew Barrymore Want Justin Long To be A Star?

Is Drew Barrymore's ambition to make "sometimes boyfriend" Justin Long a superstar actually hurting their relationship? Rumors are claiming that Barrymore's ambition is to see the leading man in her life become the next big thing in Hollywood, but that this same ambition is hurting their chances at couplehood.

Some claims go as far as saying that the two have been seeing fight on the set of their new movie Going the Distance, which Barrymore is also producing. Sources say that it's creating a tense working environment for cast and crew. Though Justin Long was cast in the film during an apparent ‘off' phase of their relationship, it is possible that Drew is using her Hollywood power to push him into the spotlight.

And if so, is this really a negative thing? The strategy seems to work for Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter, or if you like, Burton and Johnny Depp. Power couples in Hollywood have been notorious for using each others influence in an attempt to gain momentum on their careers. The problem for Barrymore and Long seems to be his reluctance to admit he can benefit from his lady friend's dominance in the movie industry.

Barrymore is still claiming that she and Long are just friends. But, now that we hear these rumors, we can't help but wonder if she is waiting for Long to hit it big before committing.

My advice to Justin Long? Ride those coat tails for all their worth honey as they might not be there 6 months from now! And if their previous relationship history is any kind of example...they won't be.
