Does Kristin Cavallari Even Want to Be on The Hills?

By now, you all know that Laguna Beach's Kristin Cavallari is taking over Lauren Conrad's role on The Hills. Some love Kristin and some hate her, but there's no question she knows how to play the game. But now we're wondering if she even wants to be on the show.

Kristin Cavallari has big aspirations to be an actress. But as far as we've seen, most stars from The Hills don't end up being big-time actresses. And it looks like Kristin might be starting to realize that. In a recent interview she said, "With The Hills, they have everything down to such a science, you don't have to think about blocking. But doing The Hills has made me want to act so badly. I need a challenge and kinda feel like The Hills is taking me a step backwards. But that just makes me want to act that much more and try that much harder."

So, we're guessing she won't be on The Hills for very many seasons. She says she really wants to be like Cameron Diaz and act in the wide range of roles that Diaz lands. She has a long, long way to go to be like Cameron Diaz! Kristin says, "I want to do great movies that are number one at the box office and also independent movies that are dark and miserable."

It kind of sounds like Kristin was having trouble landing those big roles, so she decided to star on The Hills in the meantime, hoping to catch somebody's eye. Do you think it will work?
