Dr. Drew Supports Michael Lohan
Dr. Drew says, "I have a horrible feeling" that Lindsay Lohan is headed for tragedy.
Dr. Drew is one of America's best known addiction therapists, and he's coming forward to say that the crazy war that's blaring between the Lohans may be well warranted. Michael Lohan, Dr. Drew says, is behaving the way a reasonable parent should.
Michael is using every possible tactic to get his 23-year-old daughter Lindsay to go to rehab for her pill and alcohol addictions. Dr. Drew can't vouch for Mr. Lohan's motives, but he does feel his goal is right. The doctor says, "Whether or not he had questionable motives, I don't know, but I'm convinced that he is very concerned for his daughter." Very concerned indeed -- he's selling her drunken voicemails to him! Is this normal? Dr. Drew says yes. "Parents do desperate things to get their children into rehab. I have seen parents do crazy things like have their children kidnapped, all in attempts to get them sober."
But just how likely does Dr. Drew think it is that Lindsay Lohan will actually comply with her dad's rehab attempts? The doctor says he thinks Lindsay "will make a great sober person one day, if she survives." Yikes. He continues, "I truly hope that nothing horrible happens to her but I have a horrible feeling in my bones that something is going to happen to this woman."
