LimeLife's exclusive red carpet interview with Jason Alexander.

We've said it once and we'll say it again: thank you to our friends at PokerStars.net for the trip to the North American Poker Tour at the uber-posh Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas last week. On the red carpet at NAPT, our celeb editor talked lifestyle, love, sex, fitness, poker and more lifestyle with some of the all-time highest-profile celebs in the world, and what actor/comedian Jason Alexander had to reveal about how women are treated unfairly for our weight will have you looking at this superstar in an even more lovable light.

LimeLife: Jason, in January Jenny Craig announced that you were their new spokesperson...let's talk about this - you look amazing!

Jason Alexander: Jenny, me and Jenny. Sixteen pounds down.

LimeLife: How much more do you have to go?

Jason Alexander: (laughs) More! We're in new turf. We'll see what everything looks like at every step of the game.

LimeLife: You know what's tough when my female readers and I are trying to lose weight? It's these social events, like the North American Poker Tour - in Vegas, no less! There are the drinks, the buffets...

Jason Alexander: See, I don't drink, so that's an easy thing. Actually, the great thing about the Jenny program is, when you can't get to [the food on the menu], you can eat just about anywhere. This evening I had a caesar salad, no croutons, I asked [the waitress] to put the dressing on the side, and I had three nice grilled shrimp. I am rockin' and rollin.'

LimeLife: You know, we're a women's lifestyle site, and of course women are so often the ones in our culture who diet. What's your opinion of the pressures on women to have perfect bodies?

Jason Alexander: Are you saying I'm gay?

LimeLife: (laughter) No! I'm saying, what do you want to say to your female fans? Can you relate to us better after experiencing this diet?

Jason Alexander: (pops his collar to act studly) I can always relate to [women]. No, the unfortunate thing is that women, I think, carry the burden of weight loss in this country. It's okay for us fat-ass guys to march around out there like we look okay. But if a woman puts on five pounds, every newspaper and magazine's saying, "Oh, she's a pig."

LimeLife: So you feel that our culture's scrutiny of women's bodies is unwarranted?

Jason Alexander: I actually believe -- and this is not scientific, this is just anecdotal as I look around -- the obesity problem in the United States is more on the male side than on the female side. And the problem is, also, that guys tend to carry their weight right on their gut -- the unhealthiest [location on the body for weight gain]. And the women kind of carry it in total body so they get slammed more, but the truth is, that extra weight they're carrying is probably healthier than the extra weight the guys are carrying.

LimeLife: Thank you, Jason. It's nice to see that a man who's so well-loved in Hollywood is paying attention to how women's bodies are perceived in our culture.

Jason Alexander: You're welcome. I'm there for the girls.

Indeed Jason Alexander is there for us girls, and he's doing all kinds of good things with food these days. The celebrity charity poker tournament that PokerStars.net put on at NAPT raised nearly $50,000 to benefit Three Square, an organization that collects and distributes rescued and donated food to hungry people in the Las Vegas area. Love those PokerStars celebs! Good work, guys.

Plus, there was so much more Hollywood action at the North American Poker Tour sponsored by PokerStars.net. Check back over the next week for celeb interviews with Donnie Wahlberg (oh YES, ladies! He's back and sweeter than ever), Montel Williams, Joanna Krupa and Slash's gorgeous wife Perla Ferrar Hudson. Meanwhile, did you get to read about our account inside Paris Hilton's birthday party at Tao while we were at NAPT? Also catch our story on how poker pro Vanessa Rousso uses poker body language reading to show you how to spot a lying lover. Can't miss!
