Eclipse Poster and Release Date Announced

It's already starting

Most of us are hot off the heels of seeing New Moon. But we're already wanting more, right? Unfortunately, we're going to have to wait for Eclipse to get more Twilight Saga action. But now at least we have a date to write on our (2010) calendars!

And a drumroll please? The official release date for the third Twilight movie, Eclipse, is June 30, 2010. In case you're having trouble counting, that's just about seven months from now. You can handle the wait?

Even if you already read the books, New Moon definitely left you in suspense. Will Bella decide to marry Edward so she can become a vampire too? Or is she too young to get married? We can't wait to see Eclipse so we can get the answers to these questions! We know filming has already concluded for Eclipse, so we don't understand why we have to wait seven whole months. Of course, we also know filming for Breaking Dawn hasn't even started (or been announced!), so we understand the need to space the movies out.

In addition to the exciting release date, above you can see the first promotional poster for the Eclipse movie. What do you think? We think it probably suits the mood of the film well, but we wish it showed some of the characters! Soon enough, though, soon enough.
