Elton John Says Ukranian Baby "Stole His Heart"

Too cute! Elton John said that he met a Ukranian baby in an orphanage, and he's been bitten by the adoption bug! He said that when he met 14-month-old Lev at an orphanage for babies with HIV, or with parents with HIV, and the baby is a "scrumptious thing, bless his heart."

"[My husband] David and I have always talked about adoption," Elton said. "David always wanted to adopt a child and I always said 'no' because I'm 62, and I think because of the traveling I do and the life I have, maybe it wouldn't be fair for the child. But seeing Lev today, I would love to adopt him."

Olga Rudneva, an orphanage worker, said that Elton already stated that he doesn't care whether or not the baby has HIV. Interestingly, if they do go ahead, it was pointed out that Ukraine adoption laws stipulate that there can't be more than 45 years between the parents and adopted child. Who knows if Elton can find a loophole?
