'Entourage' is Ending in 2011
Say goodbye to your favorite boys?
Are you a fan of HBO's Entourage? Though the show has a huge fan base, it does seem like more and more people are getting bored with it these days. So maybe it's smart HBO has decided to put an end to it in 2011. But we're sure it will be totally missed by many!
What will Sunday nights be without Entourage? Well, with shows like True Blood and Hung, it doesn't exactly seem like HBO is lacking in original programming. And after 6 seasons, they just don't feel like they need Entourage around anymore.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO's Programming President said, "The plan right now is we'll finish up this season, we'll do a shorter order for next season, we've talked about six." Aww, we wish they would at least do a full final season! Tie up all the story lines and have a bunch more of the celebrity cameos Entourage is so known for.
But just because Entourage is ending, doesn't necessarily mean it will be the last we see of Vince, E, Turtle, Johnny Drama, Ari, and the rest of the gang. In fact, there could be a movie at some point in the future!
Michael Lombardo continues: "(Creator Doug Ellin) is appropriately reserving - he wants to write a film, but wants to do it when the story will make sense. He's pitched other shows to us. I will expect that within the next couple years (he'll have another show on HBO). But Entourage next summer will definitely be the final season."
Are you sad to see the end of Entourage? Though we think it's time for it to end, we'll miss it and hope a movie actually happens!
