Transformers star Shia LaBeouf and Arrested Development’s Michael Cera have emerged as the front-runners to play Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, in a new movie about the social network, according to reports. The film is being written by screenwriter Aaron Sorkin and is based on Ben Mezrich's book, The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding Of Facebook, A Tale Of Sex, Money, Genius And Betrayal.

In the book, due out next Tuesday, Mezrich tells how Zuckerberg came up with the idea for Facebook in his Harvard dorm room, with the help of his friend, Eduardo Saverin. Zuckerberg then allegedly sold out his partner and was hit with a series of lawsuits from the very same friends, who had helped him make the website a global phenomenon.
