Farrah Fawcett Funeral Held Today For Family and Friends
Family and friends of the late Farrah Fawcett gathered in the Southern California sunshine for a private funeral in downtown Los Angeles. A hearse bearing Fawcett's flower covered coffin arrived at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels before pallbearers delivered the casket inside.
Long time companion Ryan O'Neal was one of the pallbearers who carried the coffin inside the cathedral. Farrah's son, Redmond O'Neal, 24, was not among them but was believed to have entered by a side door after having been granted a three-hour pass from jail to attend. O'Neal and Farrah's best friend Alana Stewart arrived separately while her Charlie's Angels co-star Kate Jackson was also was seen arriving. O'Neal took in posters and a cameraman was seen entering, indicating a video tribute to the actress might take place. Redmond is serving time in a correctional rehabilitation facility in California for violation of a probation relating to drug possession. He was not at his mother's bedside during her final days. Ryan said he had finally got Fawcett's consent to marry him but she was too weak for the marriage to take place.
