Female Pro Golfer: 'Why Did Tiger Woods Get Married?'

Helen Alfredsson knew about Tiger's affairs for a year.

"Something odd about him," pro golfer Helen Alfredsson has stepped forward to say about Tiger Woods following his international sex scandal. Alfredsson reveals that Tiger's shenanigans were well-known among the pro golf circuit for a long time before they hit the public, but golfers turned their heads. Now Alfredsson, a 44-year-old wife and mom (Swedish like Tiger's wife, interestingly), isn't letting Tiger off so easily.

Alfredsson says she can't understand why Tiger bothered to marry Elin Nordegren. "If he just paid for the escorts, I understood it a bit more," she said. "Then no one needed to know. But now he did everything and had a girlfriend and everything. What I do not understand is why he got married." Alfredsson says that Tiger was cruel for seeing girls when Elin was pregnant. "Is he not a bit cold?" she demanded rhetorically.

Alfredsson says she first heard about Tiger's philandering at the British Open last summer. Now that his full romantic history is out, she says, he'll have to change his ways big-time to clean up his image. "I do not know if Tiger would go so far as to say that he can be himself and do what he wants [now that the scandal's out in the open]. If he dares to [change] and ensure it's internal, he can probably run and play."
