"Foxy Knoxy" Amanda Knox Makes Maxim Hot 100

Amanda Knox Ranks #92 on Maxim Hot 100 List 2012

Leonardo DiCaprio's ex, Bar Rafaeli may be #1, but Amanda Knox, who made headlines for being accused of the murder of her roommate, has made the Maxim Hot 100 list for 2012.

Knox, who inherited the "Foxy Knoxy" nickname during her trial, lands at number 92 on the Hot 100. But we're pretty sure that the distinction pales in comparison to her having finally been set free from an Italian late last year.

Surprised?

It's no doubt that Knox is a pretty woman, but it's surprising she makes the list, given her controversial case.

Then again, Maxim has done an excellent job of getting their annual hot ladies list a little extra exposure with the inclusion of Knox.

Knox joins the likes of sexy celebs who rank on the annual list of hotties, which named Bar Refaeli as the hottest of them all.

Knox was released from an Italian prison last year, where she was serving time for the murder of roommate Meredith Kercher.

Maxim editor-in-chief Dan Bova tells the Daily News, "The Hot 100 list is always unpredictable and exciting, highlighting beautiful celebrities and newsmakers alike. Amanda Knox's release from prison was a huge story last year. In the end, the only thing she's guilty of is stealing our hearts."

In addition to Knox, another interesting choice among the Hot 100 is Lois from the animated series Family Guy, who Maxim calls "the sexiest housewife in Rhode Island."

Also noteworthy: the dashing and hilarious Stephen Colbert was the only man to make the list, with the mag noting, "Democracy isn't always pretty. Sometimes it's downright handsome."
