Gary Coleman In Coma After Brain Hemorrhage
Coleman's condition better clarified, but still not good.
We published Thursday's breaking report that Gary Coleman had been hospitalized in Utah. Friday morning he was listed in critical condition, and it's now said that with Coleman on life support in a coma, his family is asking for prayers from the public.
It's just been reported that Gary Coleman suffered a brain hemorrhage on Thursday -- says Coleman's manager, "He's unconscious and on life support at the moment ... He had a brain hemorrhage and he was lucid but he went unconscious [Thursday] afternoon."
People.com reports, "The actor hurt his head Wednesday when he fell in his Utah home, and was taken to a local hospital." It's suspected that Coleman's head injury actually occurred before he fell, as Bret Michaels has described the moment a brain hemorrhage happens as an alarming "thunderclap," adding that it's the worst pain he's ever felt.
Unfortunately Gary Coleman's condition has worsened in the last day, and he's now being kept in the intensive care unit at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. Coleman's wife, Shannon Price, has expressed only that Coleman suffered "a serious medical problem," and Price, who's at the hospital with Coleman and her father, won't reveal further details until doctors inform her of more. Price has, however, asked for prayers from the public and said that "We hope those prayers are answered and that Gary will be able to recover and return home soon."
