Get Ready for Jersey Couture: The Fashion Show!

Will this one be classy or trashy?

Reality shows are totally into New Jersey these days. We just reported that Jersey Shore's JWoWW will be coming out with a clothing line. Now we're hearing a whole reality show based on New Jersey's fashion, Jersey Couture, will be hitting the Oxygen Network soon. Is this kind of a "what not to wear" for anyone not from Jersey?

The new show will be all about a New Jersey dress shop called Diane & Co. According to a press release from the Oxygen Network, "From canary yellow beaded sheaths to gold lamé, the Scali family offers over-the-top dresses to satisfy every girl's special event needs." I have a feeling this means the show will be all about the obnoxious girls who are looking for prom dresses. It will be like Snooki gone wild and looking for the perfect trashy dress!

The press release continues, "With a no nonsense attitude, the Scali family's extravagant dress store is the premiere glamour stop in New Jersey... Get ready for the Cinderella experience of a lifetime. Whether it's for her bride's maid's needs or her high school prom frills, when it comes to ‘what to wear' to that elegant affair, no one gets the job done like the ladies at Diane & Co."

In looking at the Diane & Co. website, it does appear that they have a wide variety of dresses, including tons of super classy ones, like Jovani. Maybe Jersey Couture will actually attempt to bring a bit of class to Jersey's reputation? With a whole lot of drama, I'm sure.

New Jersey seems to be all the rage when it comes to reality shows these days. In addition to Jersey Shore and this newest Jersey Couture, Bravo has The Real Housewives of New Jersey and the Style Network will soon be coming out with Jerseylicious. What is with our sudden New Jersey obsession?
