'Grey's Anatomy' Shocker: Eric Dane Checks Into Rehab
Grey's Anatomy Star Eric Dane Went to Rehab for Pain Medicine Addiction
Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane's off-camera life continues to be as dramatic as his on-camera role as "McSteamy."
RadarOnline.com reports that in mid-June, Dane checked into the Los Angeles "sober living recovery residence" The Hill Treatment Center for a 30-day stint to deal with an issue involving pain medication he was taking for a sports injury.
It's unclear as to whether or not Dane is still living at the facility, though his spokesperson confirmed the treatment and says Dane would return to the Grey's set when the ABC medical drama begins production on its eighth season.

"Actor Eric Dane voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus," Dane's spokesperson said. "He reports back to work next week. Business as usual."
Star magazine has more details on the rehab stint, as the ever-popular "source" tells the mag Dane went to rehab as a "preventative measure" since he and actress wife Rebecca Gayheart are expecting their second child.
"Eric felt things spiraling out of control and decided he needed to get some help," the so-called family friend told Star.
With friends like that, who needs paparazzi?
Meanwhile, the rehab news will, maybe, allow celebrity watchers to temporarily forget about Dane and Gayheart's last scandal, when they were filmed, nude, in a video romp with former Miss Teen USA/Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew star/crystal meth addict Kari Ann Peniche.
Oops. Guess we just reminded you about that..
