It’s hard to believe after her captivating monologue on last week’s Grey’s Anatomy that Brooke Smith, who plays Dr. Erica Hahn, has been fired.
The diagnosis? Rumors have been swirling that the maturing wo-mance between Dr. Hahn and Dr. Torres was getting to be too much for ABC execs.
Executive Producer Shonda Rhimes recently defended the sack by urging that Smith was let go because she and Dr. Torres/ Ramirez lacked chemistry. Not because the romantic relationship was same-sex.
Grey’s, the cure for your poor ratings is simple. Impress us once again with your witty medical repartee, friendly surgical banter and dazzling doctorly diagnoses. If we have to watch another episode devoted to McDreamy and Grey’s fledgling romance, we’re the ones that’ll need the defib paddles.
