Unfortunately, we won't get to see Gwyneth Paltrow lounging on a Manhattan rooftop in Coach ads here in North America, since the new initiative is only slated for a limited release in Asia and Europe. 1. They did a focus group and realized that American audiences don't react well to Gwyneth as the new face of a luxury brand.
2. She requested a high salary for N.A.-focused ads, and they decided that a limited ad run to test markets would be appropriate.
3. Gwyneth thinks Coach is too budget, and she doesn't want her ad work in the States.
