Harry Potter Finale Will be a Doozy
The wizards await their fates.
The latest installment of the Harry Potter franchise, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, opens on Wednesday, but director David Yates is already saying "you haven't seen anything yet."
That's because filming has already started on the sequel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the two-part series finale. And British director David Yates, who was at the helm for Harry Potter 5 and 6, says this last last part of the multi-billion dollar teen wizard epic will knock you socks off.
"[The first part] is like a road movie," he said. "[With] refugees being chased by all these people who want to kill them. It's quite intense. Then the final film is like this big opera, big epic. It's fights and dragons and battles. It's a real rollercoaster, but with a really oddly uplifting end."
This is good news for fans, and it only adds to the excitement that Half-Blood Prince is generating. So far reviews of the film have been phenomenal, and if the studio's projections are anywhere close, this coming weekend looks to bring in big box office numbers.
So get on out to see how Harry continues the fight against Lord Voldemort, and rest assured that the story's ultimate conclusion will be well worth the wait.
