Heath Ledger's Final Film: Trailer Debut
One more from Heath Ledger
Heath Ledger was working on a film when he suddenly died. Unfortunately, he didn't get to finish the film, but with a little help from his friends, the movie's trailer has finally been released. And we can tell it's going to be a good one!
The movie is called The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and from the trailer, it definitely looks like the kind of movie that would be right up Heath Ledger's alley. Ledger plays Tony, an outsider in the movie who promises to take a theater company beyond anyone's imaginations.
From the reports we've seen, it looks like Heath Ledger had a blast filming the character. According to the movie's director, Terry Gilliam, "Heath was enjoying himself so much, and he was ad-libbing a lot, which I don't normally allow ... but Heath was just brilliant at it, and he got everybody else going... Everybody was just energized by Heath. He was extraordinary. He was almost exhausting because he had so much energy."
It's so sad that such a talented actor is no longer with us and that he had to leave this work unfinished. But Heath Ledger had some help from his friends after his death. Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell all stepped in to play incarnations of Ledger's character, so that his last movie could be released. We love that these three amazing actors stepped in!
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is set to be released in theaters on October 6, and we have a feeling it's going to be very, very popular. We wonder if Heath Ledger will be up for more Oscar's with it!
