Heath Ledger's Modest Mouse Video
More ways to remember
You may have heard that Modest Mouse came out with a new album earlier this week. one of their singles off the album, King Rat, already has quite the music video to go along with it. And it's getting a lot of talk. Because it was directed by Heath Ledger.
The song, "King Rat" was actually first a bonus track off one of Modest Mouse's earlier albums, We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank.
The video is meant to raise awareness about the whaling industry and was animated by Terry Gilliam, who worked on Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. The video for "King Rat" was revealed on Myspace on Wednesday.
This was one of Ledger's last projects before he died, and his partners at The Masses had to step in to complete it. The video ends with the message, "This began with our friend, a great defender of life, and was completed in his spirit."
We love seeing Heath Ledger's creative talent and have watched this video only about a million times. It's amazing!
