One tip that has been handed down by makeup artists is to keep your color simple-- don't overload your lids with multiple colors and complex shading. With a light champagne or tawny brow bone shadow, you can set off your eyes perfectly.

Contrary to popular belief, you can play around with blue eyeshadow, but it will take more experimentation than working with something like fail-safe brown. Look for dark gray-infused, slate blues that allow your eyes to pop-- nothing matchy-matchy. Reese has been known to wear gray eyeshadow with just a touch of shimmer.

If you're a newbie to the makeup scene, try a shimmering bronze-brown or copper. Simply sweep it on your lids and fade it out towards the brows.
