Hollynotes: Corey Haim, Conan O'Brien, Tiger Woods, Jennifer Aniston, American Idol, Lindsay Lohan
RIP Corey Haim
To the great sadness of ‘80s movie lovers everywhere, Corey Haim died this week at the age of 38 due to heart complications. Haim starred in many classic films including Learning to Drive and The Lost Boys, and quickly became the object of affection for teen girls everywhere. Though Haim struggled with drug addictions throughout his life, he was reportedly doing well in the months leading up to his death. He was such a big part of growing up in the '80s and he will be very missed.
I Heart American Idol
Man, American Idol is getting good. I'm completely obsessed. And now we're down to the final 12!
Let's get the obvious out of the way: Crystal Bowersox is incredible. She seems way more talented than any of the other contestants, male or female. Crystal is by far my favorite and I really hope she wins the whole darn thing. I've never called to vote for a contestant before, but if America starts to waver on their love for her, I might just start dialing each week. It's just so refreshing to see someone that isn't a cookie-cutter pop star. In fact, most of the girl singers seem kinda indie and unique which is super cool and refreshing.

Moving on... Kara cried this week. She actually started CRYING after Big Mike sang This Woman's Work. Apparently, she started tearing up about 3 seconds into the song and continued into the credits. Guys, I want to like her. I really, really do. She just makes it so haaaaaard.
And, has anyone else noticed the creepy flirting between Kara and Simon? Is it real? Is it fake? I have no idea, but lately they seem about 5 seconds from ripping each other's clothes off when they're bantering on camera. It's weird and I don't love it.
The jury's still out on Ellen. I love her but am not sure this show is the best platform for her. She just might be too nice. Maybe she'll improve over the next 12 weeks.... Wait. Is there really 12 weeks left of this show? It's the neverending story, isn't it? Come on Crystal, you can hold on that long!

Hollywood Happenings
- On Thursday, Conan O'Brien announced a 30-city tour kicking off in April. Some of his shows have already sold out and additional dates added. Um, count me in...
- Have you seen the latest super hot cover of W magazine featuring Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler? It's hot. Like crazy hot. I will most definitely buy this issue to see each and every photo.... (Yes, I still love Jennifer Aniston.)
- Madonna and her daughter Lourdes will be creating a junior's fashion line for Macys. The line, which will feature clothes and handbags ranging in price from $12 to $40, will debut in stores in August. Can't wait to see what these two come up with.
- Lindsay Lohan is suing E-Trade. I'm officially out of things to say in her defense.
- After weeks of campaigning by fans everywhere, it's been announced that Betty White will host Saturday Live Night on May 8. She'll join six former SNL cast members (including Amy Poehler and Tina Fey!) for a Mother's Day episode. I cannot WAIT for this.
- In what has to be the tackiest news of the week, Howard Stern held a Mistress Pageant for some of Tiger Woods's mistresses. Jamie Jungers won. Yeah, that's all I can say about that.
